“Taleah’s Extraordinary Light Scholarship”

Taleah Montañez was an outspoken activist for women empowerment and body positivity. Last year she used her platform at Girl Talk to open up about her struggles with body image and self acceptance and shared her journey of healing with attendees. Unfortunately Taleah passed away weeks after speaking at Girl Talk. We renamed our annual scholarship to honor Taleah and to inspire young women to be their own light.

Scholarship Details: $1000 reward and an internship with the Xchange academy planning next years Girl Talk event. 

To enter: Write a 3 paragraph essay about a time when you were a light for yourself or others. Send all entries to xchangeacademy@gmail.com . you will receive a confirmation email when your entry is submitted and a congratulatory email if you are selected.
