About the event
Girl Talk Women's event is where girls and women come together to get the recipe to build their confidence. It's one day of  motivational teaching, Life coaching, fun, entertainment and lots of surprises. Since 2015, Girl Talk has been the conference to ignite dreams and goals in women from all over the world. We  address real life world issues like, mental health/ wellness, functioning in healthy relationships, and Confidence.  We pride ourselves in our high energy fashion show, that  will leave you inspired and confident.

Since then, I've taken part in numerous workshops, founded the non-profit Xchange Mentorship Academy, and have helped countless women to move forward with confidence and give them the tools to transform their lives.
Understanding the unique needs of my clients is essential to their sucess. I focus on building reliable connections and giving women the tools they need to implement change in their lives.

My name is Shardae Seals. I am the CEO of a brand called Don’t Silence Her. Monie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in public schools for the past 16 years. Monie specializes in adolescent mental health and wellness, and is an advocate for harm reduction, school-based mental health programs, and education-based preventative social emotional learning. Monie lives with her 2 children and Bullmastiff in Oakland.

I’m Don Marckheil Desmond and I am a senior at Mountain House High School! I like to play basketball and read in my free time, and I actually coach basketball! I intend to major in computer science, and aspire to be a software engineer. This is my first time speaking at GirlTalk, and actually my first time speaking in any public event! I am very excited to speak about my experience and share advice.

Fi Kazi

Fi is a digital nomad who is currently traveling across North America with her partner and her cat. She is the co-founder of XINX Digital, where she supports others with digital marketing; she also co-founded Scanimals, a digital tool that supports animal shelters with getting their most needy dogs adopted. She is a published poet and is going to begin her MA in Creative Writing in 2024. You can follow her on socials @wondrlustr.

Subhiksha Raman

I grew up and still live in Fremont. I graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a B.S. degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with a minor in Product Lifecycle Management, and I did my master’s in Aerospace Engineering at SJSU. I currently work as an Electromechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale. My hobbies are playing the piano, reading, watching TV, and traveling.

Julia Brochstein

Julia Brochstein is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with an office in Lafayette, CA. While she specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders in teens and adults, Julia also works with people who experience symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. She has served as a mental health clinician for 10 years, and worked in various environments ranging from residential treatment programs to public schools. Julia’s approach to helping people heal their relationship with food and body integrates a Health At Every Size and Anti-Diet framework. Julia is passionate about empowering young people to find their voices and pursue their unique life goals. In her free time she likes to relax on her couch, watch reality television, eat ice cream and wear sweatpants.​

Barbara Scoles

Barbara has worked with youth for more than 20 years, on many different levels. She holds several licenses in athletic coaching.  She worked as an instructional aid in the classroom at the Juvenile facility in Contra Costa County, as well as facilitating and overseeing Math equivalency tutoring at that facility for those wanting to attend college upon their exit. She holds certifications in Administration of Justice, Criminal Law, and Anger Management. And holds 2 degrees in the area of Behavioral Science.  Barbara is a wife, a mom, a poet, a speaker, a friend and follower of God.  And a huge advocate for all young people, especially in the area of youth mental health. She currently works with youth through her Brave Bay Area Organization in partnership with Brave Global and Turntable Housing. She directs the Preventative Programing and Mentoring that works with local school social work specialists and counselors, to bring weekly Brave wellness groups onto the middle and high school campuses. She also oversees an annual Brave Empowerment Event every spring. She believes that every one deserves to know their true self. That they are loved, valued and have a unique purpose in this life.

Marya Wright, MSW, is a nationally distinguished social worker, consultant, educator, international trainer, and facilitator with experience in organizational leadership, child welfare services, and curriculum development. She is the President and CEO of Wright Community Services LLC, a company that strives to empower system-involved families through awareness, services, and education while also providing consultation, training, and system specific facilitation to the agencies that services these communities. She is a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (#81167) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences working to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). 
Marya holds a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, East Bay with a focus on Child Welfare Policy and Research and a Bachelor’s in Social Work with a focus on Child Welfare Services and Motivational Interviewing from San Diego State University. Marya is a qualified expert witness and private dependency investigator for children, youth, and family services as it relates to family law court, juvenile and dependency court. She is an elected Board of Director for the California Society of Clinical Social Work.
Marya has conducted considerable research on Child Sexual Exploitation, Foster Care, and published an article on the use of algorithmic decision-making in child welfare. In addition to clinical social work, Marya is a seasoned lecturer. She has taught in the Sociology Department at Cal State East Bay since Spring 2020. Her course load includes Sociology of Sexualities, Child Welfare Policy, Sociology of Family, and Sexual Violence. Marya is currently a teaching Master of Social Work students in the Department of Social Work at Cal State East Bay.

Autumn Tengry

Autumn Tengry lives in Brentwood, California. She has been a cosmetologist at Ulta Beauty for 6 1/2 yrs out of her 15yr career. Her favorite hair services to perform are color, curl cuts, and extensions. Sundays You can find her at Travis Airforce base as their community worship leader. Next to her two daughters, singing is her favorite gift. She has written and published a song for an independent film. She aspires to continue to grow in her careers and to encourage others to follow their dreams.

Autumn Jackson

Autumn Emerald Jackson loves being a world changer. She is 24yrs old and graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and majored in Elementary Education with an Associates in Music and Minor in Entrepreneurship. She has been a Worship Leader for 9yrs. She Co-Leads a worship team for a ministry called Love Under The Bridge Worship that serves the homeless every 3rd Sunday in Downtown Dallas. This ministry has been going on for 9yrs now.
With her God given talents, Autumn is a teacher, artist, singer, pianist, rapper, songwriter, she does poetry and motivational speaking. As well as, she coaches in the Summer for the Dallas Mavericks Hoop Camps. Currently, she is teaching 1st grade as a 1st year teacher at Newman International Academy.

Onaiza Kazi

Onaiza is a survivor, nerd, immigrant, community builder and lifelong learner. While she hopes to one day pursue comedy, she currently finds joy working at Xbox as a designer. Through studying Astrophysics, tutoring, and managing a city council campaign, she learned that with the right support, a person can truly chase whatever dream they hold. She is also very passionate about access and advocacy - she currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Project Safety Net, a local nonprofit dedicated to Youth Mental Wellness and Suicide Prevention. 
Onaiza believes that every person has a path and that we find our way through the relationships that surround us and through our own internal drive. She also believes in the power of making people smile.

Danyel Monique a product of Oakland is a former D1 Athlete who attended Coppin State University and came back to teach she is with the Oakland Unified School District now at Edna Brewer Middle School! 
Danyel Monique is a Bay Area Hip Hop Soul Singer. She started at 12 years old as a lead singer in the choir! Danyel has been an actress for 8 years now and has movies on Amazon Prime, Tubi and Hulu and now an Executive Producer with Pharaoh Films in Oakland! Her first love is fashion and she started Clinic of Dreams youth mentoring program to help promote physical and mental health in Oakland! She is the CEO of Dream Team Model where she coordinates fashion show throughout the Bay Area!

Advay Narayanun

I’m a sixth grader at Harker School. I also am a youth volunteer at a non-profit called Aram Sei. Alongside other youth volunteers I recently ran a fundraiser called Fun in the Sun. At Fun in the Sun I baked and sold over $600 in brownies. I enjoy  fencing, reading, and playing the guitar and like to play videogames in my free time. My goal in life is to be universally loved by all dogs. Another one of my goals is to own an RV. I do public speaking now, but it is not something I have always been comfortable with.

Jasmine Jackson

Jasmine Diamond Jackson loves making a difference. I am Adriana, a sophomore at Basis Independent Fremont. In the future, I aim to be a pediatrician because I am passionate about helping children. I am a classically trained dancer leading the children's church choir. I also play the piano. I am the Vice President of our school's Red Cross club, Key Club, and co-founder of my school's Connect 4 Cancer Club.

I'm Rohan and I'm currently in the 9th grade. I'm a passionate stand-up comedy enthusiast. When I'm not cracking jokes or watching comedy shows, you can find me on the basketball court. Basketball is more than just a sport for me; it's a way to unwind, stay active, and connect with friends. Starting at a new school has been a challenging experience. While my love for stand-up comedy and basketball has remained strong, I've also discovered new passions and hobbies. From joining clubs to trying out for the school play, I'm all about using every opportunity to learn and grow.

Tonza Christian is a licensed insurance broker and financial educator in the state of California as well as 42 neighboring states.
She helps individuals, families and business owners to optimize their financial stance through education of the financial concepts that are used to create protection on one's life, income in the event of unexpected life occurrences such as loss of income or illness. She is a wife of 20 Years married to Jezreel Christian and the mother of five children. 
Before pursuing a financial career, she was a Registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and later became a Nurse Executive for 20 years. Upon learning how to change people's lives thru leveraging tax codes to create, build, make and protect lives and income from loss and create wealth and legacies for the future.Her true passion was found through helping individuals and families understand the true meaning of wealth by empowering them with the knowledge necessary to obtain economic empowerment for themselves and generational wealth.
