I’m Don Marckheil Desmond and I am a senior at Mountain House High School! I like to play basketball and read in my free time, and I actually coach basketball! I intend to major in computer science, and aspire to be a software engineer. This is my first time speaking at GirlTalk, and actually my first time speaking in any public event! I am very excited to speak about my experience and share advice.

Fi is a digital nomad who is currently traveling across North America with her partner and her cat. She is the co-founder of XINX Digital, where she supports others with digital marketing; she also co-founded Scanimals, a digital tool that supports animal shelters with getting their most needy dogs adopted. I grew up and still live in Fremont. I graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a B.S. degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with a minor in Product Lifecycle Management, and I did my master’s in Aerospace Engineering at SJSU. I currently work as an Electromechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale. My hobbies are playing the piano, reading, watching TV, and traveling.

My name is Maya Sriram, and I'm a senior at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. I found out about Girl Talk through a nonprofit called Aram Sei, a partnering organization that I intern with. I became a certified life coach through the International Coach Federation in 2013 and haven't looked back. Julia Brochstein is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with an office in Lafayette, CA. While she specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders in teens and adults, Julia also works with people who experience symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. She has served as a mental health clinician for 10 years, and worked in various environments ranging from residential treatment programs to public schools. Julia’s approach to helping people heal their relationship with food and body integrates a Health At Every Size and Anti-Diet framework. Julia is passionate about empowering young people to find their voices and pursue their unique life goals. In her free time she likes to relax on her couch, watch reality television, eat ice cream and wear sweatpants.

Autumn TengryAutumn Tengry lives in Brentwood, California. She has been a cosmetologist at Ulta Beauty for 6 1/2 yrs out of her 15yr career. Her favorite hair services to perform are color, curl cuts, and extensions. Sundays You can find her at Travis Airforce base as their community worship leader. Next to her two daughters, singing is her favorite gift. She has written and published a song for an independent film. She aspires to continue to grow in her careers and to encourage others to follow their dreams.

She is 24yrs old and graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and majored in Elementary Education with an Associates in Music and Minor in Entrepreneurship. She has been a Worship Leader for 9yrs. She Co-Leads a worship team for a ministry called Love Under The Bridge Worship that serves the homeless every 3rd Sunday in Downtown Dallas. This ministry has been going on for 9yrs now.
With her God given talents, Autumn is a teacher, artist, singer, pianist, rapper, songwriter, she does poetry and motivational speaking. As well as, she coaches in the Summer for the Dallas Mavericks Hoop Camps. Currently, she is teaching 1st grade as a 1st year teacher at Newman International Academy. |

Onaiza is a survivor, nerd, immigrant, community builder and lifelong learner. While she hopes to one day pursue comedy, she currently finds joy working at Xbox as a designer. Through studying Astrophysics, tutoring, and managing a city council campaign, she learned that with the right support, a person can truly chase whatever dream they hold. She is also very passionate about access and advocacy - she currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Project Safety Net, a local nonprofit dedicated to Youth Mental Wellness and Suicide Prevention.
Onaiza believes that every person has a path and that we find our way through the relationships that surround us and through our own internal drive. She also believes in the power of making people smile. |
Advay NarayanunI’m a sixth grader at Harker School. I also am a youth volunteer at a non-profit called Aram Sei. Alongside other youth volunteers I recently ran a fundraiser called Fun in the Sun. At Fun in the Sun I baked and sold over $600 in brownies. I enjoy fencing, reading, and playing the guitar and like to play videogames in my free time. My goal in life is to be universally loved by all dogs. Another one of my goals is to own an RV. I do public speaking now, but it is not something I have always been comfortable with.

Adriana VictoriaI am Adriana, a sophomore at Basis Independent Fremont. In the future, I aim to be a pediatrician because I am passionate about helping children. I am a classically trained dancer leading the children's church choir. I also play the piano. I am the Vice President of our school's Red Cross club, Key Club, and co-founder of my school's Connect 4 Cancer Club.
