Taleah was a speaker at our 2019 Girl Talk. Shortly after our conference Taleah tragically passed away in an untimely car accident. Taleah openedly shared her struggle with a eating disorder and how she overcame her struggle. And because of how impactful her testimony of triumph and overcoming her personal struggles, In 2019 the extraordinary light Scholarship was established.
Taleah Montanez exemplified all of Girl Talk core values such as leadership, empowerment and confidence. We hope that with this scholarship we can continue to honor that light she shined so brightly on the world and our organization with young girls.
